Hellooo! It's Kenji! Thank you to all our furriends who suggested L-Lysine for our colds… Mummy is going to look for it! She is still learning to be an experienced Cat Mummy I guess…
I love my Nip Nana! I always feel sooo great when I play with it!
Kenji: Oooh Yuji, wanna plaaayy?
Yuji: Kenji, you're being strange. I don't want to play with you right now.
Kenji: Ok, never mind! You can watch me play by myself!
Mmmmm Nip Nana is wonderful!!!
Have a happy Monday!
Purrrs,
Nip Narnas are the best. We always figfht over ours.
ReplyDeleteOoh, a nip naner! Who needs other kitties to play with when you have one of those?
ReplyDeleteMom Kim here re: the L-Lysine -- you can get it in health food stores, can come in hard tablet or capsule with powder. Make sure you get the capsules that just break open, so you can sprinkle the powder in the food. I mistakenly bought a bottle of hard tablets and what the heck am I going to do with that? Pulverize it, maybe. :-)
BTW, you can give it daily as a preventative, in which case I would give 250mg per kitty per day. Or give them the 500mg when they have a flare-up. Since it's just an amino acid found in the body, you can't overdose a cat on it -- though I wouldn't give more than the 500mg per day myself. Also young kittens probably not more than 250mg, but that's not a concern for you.
Oh Kenji we can see you don't need a playmate when you've got the nip banana to yourself!!
ReplyDeleteWe've used Lysine a lot over the years. It's good stuff! You should be able to get it in most vitamin stores.
ReplyDeleteWe are not that keen on catnip here but we LOVE matatabi!!!
Purrs,
The Chans
Wow I'm also curious about this nip nana!
ReplyDeleteLooks great indeed, lots of fun there!Cool!

ReplyDeleteWe love our nip nanna too!
ReplyDeleteKenji, we think you may have overdid it on the nip nanner....
ReplyDeleteOh my Kenji, that sure looks like a fun nip nanner. At least you are having a good time even if no one wants to play with you. Hope you have a fun evening.
ReplyDeletewow..that is sure 1 great nip nana
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday! I wonder if my sister Rosie would like one of these nip nanas?
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
I can see Nip-na-na made you so relax so no fighting game today : )
ReplyDeletePeacful for your mom : )
Every cat should have so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWe love our catnip bananers, too! I can see Yuji got another mohawk! Heehee!
ReplyDeleteHooray for nip nanas! It was cute seeing you kitties settling in your ham-micks in your last post. We love ours, although they are a bit saggy now after having fat Fui in them... hahaha!
ReplyDeleteWe get l-lysine in our food around stressful times, and our fosters get it all the time. We use the 500mg tablets from the human chemist, and crunch them with a spoon. The only thing to look out for is that it is pure lysine, as some of them are mixed in with things like vitamin C.
Greetings,
ReplyDeleteLooks like someone is having some real fun.
Sometimes I play with my mice but not often. I prefer to sleep and sleep, and sleep until it is time eat. I guess that is what happens when one gets older.
Warmest regards,
Ms K and Egmont
Kenji, nip bananas are awesome! My mom bought some l-lysine a long time ago for me, when she suspected that I had the herpes virus in my eyes. She never got brave enough to use it, but she mentioned it to my vet once and he said it's fine to use. She thinks he said she should make sure it is made/dosed for pets and not people, but she can't remember. Anyway, she had bought it off the internet from a pet meds vendor. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYour friend, Fuzzy
We have to share our nip nana - lucky you to have it all to yourself.
